Dangote Foods

Presently the GROUP has in its food divisions the following manufacturing plants:

  • A sugar refinery in Lagos
  • Flour mills in Lagos, Kano and Calabar
  • Spaghetti and Macaroni factory in Lagos
  • Salt plants in Lagos and Calabar.

Dangote Cement

Dangote Portland Cement has experienced spectacular growth in their share of the national cement market over the last 24 months. Current production capacity has been increased to 8.5 million Mt annually – which represents about 80% of the total Nigerian cement market. The installed capacity is to accommodate expected increase of cement consumption in Nigeria.

Furthermore, the DANGOTE GROUP has made a strategic decision to establish cement-manufacturing plants in strategically located places around Nigeria. Projects have already started in Odukpani near Calabar in Cross River Sate, Obajana in Kogi State and Ibese in Ogun State. This is in addition to major shareholding in Benue Cement Company PLC. These new projects, excluding Benue Cement investment provides the DANGOTE GROUP with local production capacity of 7.5 million Mt of cement annually.
